Our Unique Expertise

Roberta Matuson - "The Boomer"

Roberta Matuson is an expert at creating intergenerational harmony at work. She's President of Human Resource Solutions, a firm that provides consulting and training to resolve intergenerational conflicts and help companies capitalize on the unique generational perspectives of their workforce. Roberta's insights on intergenerational workplace issues have been featured on CBS's The Early Show. She has also appeared on FOX's The O'Reilly Factor and has been quoted in The New York Times, Boston Globe, and many other national business publications. She is currently an HR Expert for BostonWorks, a division of the Boston Globe, and writes a bi-monthly column in The Valley Business Outlook. She has served as the HR Careers Expert for Monster.com, and is a former weekly columnist for The Record (British Columbia.)

At one time, Roberta was a twenty-four year old HR director managing a team of people who were twice her age. She's experienced the conflicts that can erupt when the generations work (or don't work) together. She brings her unique first-hand perspective to the discussion of how generational differences affect everything from job searches, hiring, and managing to interoffice politics and discussions around the water-cooler.

Ms. Matuson holds an MBA from the University of Houston and a BS in Human Resource Management from Northeastern University. She is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).

Currently he serves as the Vice President of Talent Development for the largest independent bank in Massachusetts, The Rockland Trust Company.
